I learnt more in the 3 hours than in the 3 months I have owned the camera. Excellent value & well worthwhile. Thank you. Chris Ballauff |

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and hope to become a better photography with the new found knowledge that I discovered on this wonderful course. I would highly recommend this class. Suzanne Cappello |
A perfect mix of theory and practice - valuable for both beginners and those wishing to do a refresher. I will never go back to full auto again! Thanks Andy Melanie Row |
Fantastic class. Set right some old habits and de-mystified key elements of digital SLR photography. Money very well spent. Trish Nichitean |
Excellent course. Very relaxed environment with good balance between theory and practice. Group size is not too large and allows for good interaction between Andy and the participants. Mike Grehan |
Andy, I thought the class was fantastic. You are a very good teacher. Years ago I had done a photography course at Evening College and I can honestly say I learnt more in the 3 hours with you than the 8 weeks I spent doing the evening course. Sarah Ryan |

These 3 hour workshops will show you how to take control of your digital camera with confidence and create better images. Starting with the absolute basics beginners will learn everything nedded to control their camera. For those who know the basics the structure of the class allows the student to take thier photography to the next level. Subjects covered by the class include; Exposure: How to get consistantly good exposures that capture the widest range of tones possible. Learn how to use the Histogram, Exposure Compensation, Bracketing and Exposure Lock. You will learn how to use White Balance to give accurate colour and how to use it as a creative tool. Warm up portraits, turn daylight in to night! We will experiment with Shutter Speeds to freeze moving subjects or to introduce controlled speed blur. I will show you how to throw distracting backgrounds out of focus (and how to keep intersting ones in sharp focus) by controlling Depth of Field. We will look at accessories including filters, lenshoods and flashes. |
